WHAT MAKES HIM AN AWESOME TUTOR
What makes me a great tutor is my student-centred approach to learning and firm belief that anyone can improve their grades, assuming they want to. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how well I explain a topic, what matters is that the student gets it! I do my best to explain ideas so they align with the students current views, rather than throwing an entirely new way of thinking onto the student. What this looks like in practice is me finding exactly where in the student's line of thinking an error exists, and then correcting that particular error.

Life goal: To practice psychiatry and fundamentally change the way mental illness is diagnosed.

Fave TV Show: Maybe Spongebob? I don't really watch TV shows anymore. I do, however, enjoy watching Calgary Flames hockey and medically informed podcasts on youtube
Fave Movie: I'd say it'is a tie between "Her", "Ex Machina" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel". Despite how much I love them, however, I can't ever get around to watching any of them again - it doesn't matter the movie, I can never watch them more than once.
When you're not crunching numbers: A lot my time is technically spent working but I don't necessarily see it as such. I work at an addictions clinic where I help patients overcome their opiate dependencies. I also care for families whose mothers have cancer and patients with hoarding tendencies. Outside of my "work", I love spending time with my girlfriend, cooking, reading, playing the piano, skating (hockey and figure skating) and making rap music.
